Victoria Tetra Society Meeting, Tuesday, July 13, 2004

9 Price Road, 6:00-8:45 p.m.

 

Meeting called to order at 7:30 after a superb dinner supplied by Nina.

In Attendance: Don Hurd (Chair), Nina Duffus, John Neilson, Dave Marryatt, Marnie Essery and Tony Nordstrom.

Treasurer’s Report

It was accepted as presented.

 

Old Business

 

1. Marnie invoiced the Tetra Society of North America for the $75 one year registration fee for Volunteer Victoria. Bonnie, from Volunteer Victoria, is away on holidays until July 26. When she returns, Marnie and Don will meet with her.
2. Tony will write and have co-signed a cheque for $250 that can be sent to the Tetra Society of North America to cover our yearly liability insurance. Marnie has to send a list of names and addresses of Tetra volunteers so please notify her if your contact info has changed.

 

New Business

 

1. The process for work requests was discussed. It was decided that all phone calls and requests are to be directed to Marnie at 474-5939. If there is an emergency and someone needs help immediately Don will find someone who can work on it. Otherwise, projects will be divided during monthly meetings on the basis of skills and interests.
2. There was a very good profile of Dave Marryatt and Tetra on Shaw Daily’s program recently.
3. Marnie called a man (who saw the Shaw feature) and will send him information about Tetra. He is looking for help for his wife who he said has ‘bad arthritis.’

 

Old Projects

1. Project # 2071-Nina- Mom has bought the fishing rod and now Nina is working on the fishing rod holder.
2. Project# 2050-Tony has called and let him know that the bike is ready to be picked up.
3. Project # 3086-Dave and client’sMom, Margo, are working on putting a divider in the van.
4. Project # 4110-Dave and Don will work on this project.
5. Project # 3082-Nina will follow up.
6. Project # 3091-cup holder feedback card received. Dave was going to phone and follow up.

     7.   Project # 4105-Nina and Dave are working on this project.

New Projects

1. Project # 4109-received membership and form-Don and Dave raised the bath seat.

2.Project # 4108-received membership and form-Tony and John will work on this project.
